Pedestal Refit

Gotta replace those frayed meathooks on the steering system, and re-tension it.  I have about 1" of play on either side which is not only dangerous, but very annoying.  This page will detail the installation of an Edson chain and cable replacement kit, as well as lubrication of the system. Overall an easy job except for adjusting tension at the steering quadrant - that was a tigh quarters nightmare, but once done it didn't need another look for years.
